Agricultural Places

Agricultural Places are areas where local climate and geography create a recognizable farmscape - these are notable places locals know by name.
Use the buttons above to search for Ag Places near an address, town or zip code ("Search on Map"), or to pick one from a list. If you know of an Ag Place not listed on our map, let us know.
The Agricultural Almanac shows Ag Places as specific geographic areas (valleys, regions, etc.) where they have been defined. In counties where they haven't been defined, the general area of land suitable for crops is shown instead.
In "Pick from List", you can also search by entire county, returning a list of all crops grown in any county. Note that these crop lists are being updated and not all crops may be listed yet in an individual county.
